1. 700 watt motor:  Many other mixer manufacturers would have you believe that watts and power are not important in a mixer.  However, you typically only hear this from the manufacturers that don’t have a mixer with over 550 watts of power available.  A 700 watt motor is one of the worlds most powerful and enables you to fully knead up to 12 pounds of dough in only seven to eight minutes.  This enables larger batch sizes and time savings in the kitchen.
     Belt Driven fully automatic Transmission:  The 700 watt motor is German engineered and uses a belt driven transmission as opposed to the plastic or nylon gear driven systems that most other mixers use.  The belt driven transmission eliminates heat build up and transfers torque more efficiently.  Belt driven transmissions also allow the motor to handle different loads and speeds without straining or breaking.  Because of their unique engineering, Bosch’s belt driven transmissions have a less than 1% failure rate over the past twenty years.  They simply outlast gear drive systems.  That is also why Bosch offers a standard three year warranty on the motor and transmission as opposed to the typical one year warranty that other manufacturers offer.
     Easy to Use:  Because of the unique transmission, the Bosch Universal is powered from the bottom instead of the top.  This enables the user to have full access to the bowl for adding ingredients.  The bulky motor is removed from the head so that there is no need for stopping your mixing action and tilting back the head to add ingredients.
    
   Mixing & Whipping Action:  The belt driven transmission offers three speeds and a momentary switch for unlimited speeds.  Other manufacturers offer up to ten speeds however we found that the triple whipping action of the dual head beaters will whip with more power than any other mixer on the market.  The triple whipping action takes “Planetary mixing action” a step further by spinning in a fixed position, scraping the sides of the bowl and providing maximum contact between the beaters and the ingredients.
     The Bosch also comes with a unique and patented “Breadmaster” dough hook.  The dough hook is more than a hook!  Its unique design has a built in paddle and actually simulates hand kneading which allows oxygen to enter the dough while developing the gluten.  This action creates the most incredible breads and doughs in half the time of a standard mixer.  
   
   The Bowl:  The uniquely designed bowl has a “tube bottom” that allows for small (as little as one egg white) or large amounts (12lbs) of dough.  This allows for maximum ingredient usage and no wasted materials as you create in the kitchen.

   Light weight:  At one time it was believed that your stand mixer has to be over twenty pounds in order to handle the mixing motion associated with large batches of dough.  The Bosch weighs only 12lbs 9oz which means that you can leave it on your counter or store it without straining your back.
